Chakras are energy points in our body that control our physical and psychological health. According to Hindu and Buddhist philosophy, there are 7 primary chakras located along the midline of the body. The Root Chakra is the base and 1st chakra in our system.

Aspects of Nature: Dawn, dusk, red earth, fire.

Qualities: Groundedness, trust, belonging, lessens feelings of mistrust.

When your Root Chakra is blocked, you can feel anxious, afraid, and unsure about your safety. On a physical level, you may often feel tired or constipated.

When you see red, consider a sonic boom of powerful action propelling you forward. Consider this the spark of action. Make this red heat the seat of your physical/spiritual birth. This is the hot coal of your perception, and it’s a great fuel-maker for whatever you want to start cooking.

Moreover, it is also symbolic of our physical strength, our sexuality and the flight and fight response that tends to activate within our body when we sense danger. The Root Chakra is connected with the sense of smell within the body, and it is attached to the gland known as Gonads…Read More
